Welcome to my first blog post! Please forgive me if I’m incoherent, inconsistent, or just plain rambling.
So… hi! Welcome! Just wanted to lay a little groundwork for what I hope to accomplish with this blog. I’ve seen blogs of people with no kids, blogs of people working towards achieving health goals, blogs of people working towards getting out of debt, and blogs for/of witchy folks, but I haven’t seen one that is geared towards *ahem* middle-aged all of the above. Look y’all, I’ll be 43 in a couple of months, so I’m in my summer chicken stage. And I’m medically obese, so it’s not going to be one of those “lose ten pounds” deals. And we are hemorrhaging money every month. And… well let’s just say I’ve wandered far, far away from my spiritual path and I’d like to wander my way back. If I post my progress along these journeys, I may actually be held accountable.

That’s a photo from 2019. Miss just being Miss. She’s a rescued Himalayan kitty, born in Saudi Arabia and brought to the US. She was surrendered to a Baltimore animal shelter, made her way to New Jersey, was adopted by Greg and me, and after a few years she moved to Alabama. She’s been a trooper. And is such a sweet kitty. I’m sure she’ll show up – randomly, of course – in future posts.
